Greenway's PrimeSuite EHR Customer Conference Draws Record Attendance

CARROLLTON, Ga., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc. welcomed more than 1,300 customers, partners and industry leaders to the company's annual PrimeLeader conference held last week in downtown Atlanta. The physicians and practice administrators in attendance were treated to a broad array of speakers, technology demonstration sessions and hands-on workshops designed to increase their return on investment in groundbreaking electronic health record (EHR) technology and services from Greenway®.

Greenway President and CEO Tee Green opened the sold-out conference with a wide-ranging overview of the changing landscape in healthcare innovation, including the impact of accountable- and outcomes-based care, EHR meaningful use incentives and the technology-enabled benefits of comprehensive EHR adoption.

Attendees at this year's PrimeLeader conference also received a welcome message from Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House and founder of the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Health Transformation. Speaking directly to Greenway customers, Gingrich noted, "I think you're meeting at a very unique time in American history, and it's important that you are moving in the right direction for the best possible medical care, and to make sure it's an affordable, sustainable system. As this year's keynote speaker, Dr. Andrew von Eschenbach, who served as FDA commissioner from 2006 to 2009 and director of the National Cancer Institute from 2002 to 2005, addressed the convergence of technology and knowledge as a transformational opportunity for healthcare professionals. Greenway customers attended six EHR meaningful use seminars offered among 230 educational and best practice workshop sessions, and took advantage of networking and solution enhancement strategies to maximize their utilization of Greenway's integrated EHR, practice management and interoperability solution PrimeSuite. Under the banner of "Ensuring Success," PrimeLeader 2010 also welcomed 30 functionality, strategy and innovation partners. As an indication that adoption of Greenway's PrimeSuite EHR solution continues to grow at a record pace, more than 40 percent of this year's attendees were participating in PrimeLeader for the first time.

Greenway Vice President of Client Services Eric Grunden led attendees through the four-day schedule of events.
