JERSEY CITY, N.J., Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- GRM Document Management proved to be a main attraction at the 2011 ARMA Conference in Washington, D.C. The lifecycle records and information management company attracted large numbers of attendees at both its booth and a special Solutions Showcase presentation held on the morning of Tuesday, October 18. Titled, "How to Create Your Own Credible Retention Schedule," the presentation featured GRMpedia, a ground-breaking regulatory retention research tool and was hosted by GRM's Solutions Group division Vice President and General Manager, Fred Diers. Though seating was limited to 50, Mr. Diers, shared his expertise in Corporate Compliance, Governance and Risk Management with a standing-room-only audience of nearly 100. A free, one-year subscription to the GRMpedia service, valued at $1,800, was raffled off. The lucky winner was James Castillo, an RIM Manager with Tarrant County Records Information Management of Texas.
At the GRM booth, fun activities and helpful information attracted a steady flow of people. On hand were giveaways, a caricaturist and a team of GRM records and information management experts to answer any questions. People waited in line to access computer terminals, where they could demo the GRMpedia service.
"As we continue to evolve, offerings like GRMpedia distinguish us in the marketplace," said GRM Executive Vice President, Jerry Glatt. "It's just one example of our ongoing commitment to bringing valuable information management tools to existing and potential clients."
Visitors to the GRM booth were also able to enter a drawing, held at the end of the conference, to win a free iPad2. It was Jan Hodges of California, a Senior Manager of Corporate Records in the Mattel Law Department, who ultimately claimed the prize.
"We were thrilled with the response from ARMA attendees," summed up Mr. Glatt. "In terms of traffic, interest and leads, this was one of our most successful events. It was just nonstop and really got the word out about our blended, end-to-end services, especially GRMpedia."
