Grundfos Guts & Glory WaterPRO Championship gives well drillers a shot at $10,000
Contestants compete at local events to qualify for the championship in Las Vegas
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., March 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- To recognize its WaterPRO Dealers' specialized talent and ingenuity, Grundfos is sponsoring a nationwide competition that puts well drillers' problem-solving skills to the test.
Contestants will demonstrate their knowledge of the Grundfos SP submersible pump in a challenge that requires both skill and speed. Participants with the fastest times at local qualifying events will advance to the championship round at the National Groundwater Association's Groundwater Week 2018 trade show in Las Vegas, where they will compete for a $10,000 grand prize.
The first stage of the contest will consist of approximately 75 local qualifying events, ranging from distributor-sponsored events to trade shows. At each local event, a $100 Visa® Reward Card will be awarded to the contestant with the fastest time. Second-place winners will receive a $50 Visa® Reward Card.
The 12 fastest contestants from all local qualifying events will advance to the national championship and receive round-trip airfare to Las Vegas, an NGWA 2018 Groundwater Week show pass and three nights' accommodation for themselves and one guest. Two walk-on spots will be up for grabs at the show, allowing attendees a chance to compete against the other 12 contestants for $10,000.

Those wishing to compete must be professional well drillers who meet one of these requirements:
- Registered as a WaterPRO Dealer at the time of the local event
- Intend to become a registered WaterPRO Dealer by December 5, 2018
