GTCR Closes $5.25 Billion Buyout Fund

CHICAGO, Oct. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- GTCR today announced the final closing of its twelfth buyout fund, GTCR Fund XII, with $5.25 billion of limited partner capital commitments.

The fund, with a target of $4.5 billion, was quickly oversubscribed. As a result, the firm's fundraising activity culminated in reaching the hard cap only five months after the initial launch in May 2017.

Since 1980, GTCR has invested more than $14 billion in over 200 companies. The firm currently has approximately $13 billion in assets under management.

Target investments will continue to focus on companies across high growth sectors, including Business Services, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Healthcare and Financial Services & Technology.
