Gunpowder Gold Corp. Releases Latest Assays From Sampling Program on Dome Rock Gold Project, Arizona

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Gunpowder Gold Corporation (OTCBB:GUNP) ("Gunpowder" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the latest results from its sampling program on the Dome Rock gold project in La Paz County, Arizona.

Assay results included several samples with significant indications of gold, copper and silver. One sample assayed 8.56 g/t Au. Highlights of the sampling program include:

"We have narrowed the location of preferred mineralization on our gold project, and have identified where surface samples indicate the greatest potential for gold recovery. In addition to the encouraging gold numbers, there are positive values for silver, copper, barium, and molybdenum. Based on these results, the company has authorized its field crew to conduct a more extensive surface sampling program on the Dome Rock gold project, in order to validate and determine the expanse of the surface indications," explained Michael Nott, president of the Company.

Based on these results, and further assays expected in the coming weeks, Gunpowder expects to have enough information to move to the next phase of its exploration program in the first quarter of 2012.
