Revenues in the first quarter have increased 86% over the comparable quarter of fiscal year 2015. About two years ago, H2O Maple unveiled the Super-ConcentratorTM, an innovative product specific to maple production that concentrates maple sap up to 40° Brix, something previously unheard of in the industry. This innovative process was created through our core business expertise in membrane filtration. By significantly increasing the sugar concentration levels, the Super-ConcentratorTM reduces the water quantity to be evaporated, which significantly reduces the energy required for evaporation, simplifying the work of maple syrup producers.
Another exclusive innovation from H2O Maple is the H2O-SmartrekTM system. This monitoring and data collection system allows maple syrup producers to better monitor integrity of the collection network and quickly find leaks. Maple syrup producers can thus maintain a constant suction at the tap, increasing the productivity by 10%. Wireless and requiring no Internet connection, the H2O-SmartrekTM system is the most installed monitoring system in sugar installations to date.
