Hadapt Adds Big Data Industry Veteran Christopher Lynch as Chairman of the Board of Directors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., April 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hadapt, creator of the first big data platform combining Apache Hadoop and relational DBMS, today announced that Big Data industry veteran Christopher Lynch has joined the company's Board of Directors as Chairman. Lynch was most recently Senior Vice President & General Manager, Vertica Systems at Hewlett-Packard.

Prior to leading Vertica to a market leadership position and acquisition by Hewlett Packard, Lynch was senior vice president of data solutions at F5 Networks, a company focused on ensuring the secure, reliable and fast delivery of applications. He joined F5 from its acquisition of Acopia Networks, where he served as CEO for five years. Prior to Acopia, Lynch was vice president of sales and marketing for Cisco's content delivery networking business unit, where he led the company to a leadership position in the content delivery market. He joined Cisco from its acquisition of ArrowPoint Communications, where he was vice president of worldwide sales, marketing and support.

He was instrumental in ArrowPoint's IPO and helped grow revenue from zero to a $250 million sales annualized run-rate over 18 months. Prior to ArrowPoint, Lynch was vice president of North and South American sales for Lucent Technologies' Gigabit Ethernet Products Unit. He joined Lucent from its acquisition of Prominet Corporation. Lynch has also held sales leadership positions at Bay Networks, Wellfleet Communications and Digital Equipment Corporation. He earned his MBA from Bentley University and his bachelor's degree in business management from Suffolk University.
