Hannover House Challenges Congress and Presidential Candidates to State Their Position on Made in the USA Initiatives

NEW YORK, Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hannover House, publisher of the non-fiction book "Made in the USA" by best-selling author Barr McClellan, is asking politicians to stop the rhetoric and bring back American jobs.  This month, the independent publishing company is reaching out to every member of Congress and every major Presidential candidate to show their support for - or against - initiatives the would protect U.S. workers and close existing tax loopholes that encourage the outsourcing of manufacturing jobs overseas.  Hannover House is the entertainment and media division of Target Development Group, Inc. "With the country struggling for economic recovery and partisan rhetoric at an all-time high, we need to know where the candidates and elected members of Congress stand on these critical U.S.A. job initiatives," said McClellan.  "Right now, tax programs and loopholes reward companies to outsource American jobs. These tax benefits not only hurt middle-class workers, but are paid for largely by lower and middle-class wage earners due to inequalities in our current tax rates. Elected officials need to support the best interests of their constituents, and not just the demands of corporate donors or party leaders."

Every member of the House of Representatives and the Senate will be sent a copy of McClellan's economic primer, "Made in the USA" next week, which will be waiting for their return to the next session of Congress.  Additionally, the White House and all major Republican candidates for President will also receive a book and survey package. Each official or candidate will be asked to express their support for - or against - key programs that most economists agree should return millions of manufacturing jobs back to America.  Results from each respondent will be posted via a press release as well as on the Hannover House website page for Made in the USA.
