SHANGHAI, 28 de julio de 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- HANQUYOU (trastuzumab, nombre comercial en Europa: Zercepac®; nombres comerciales en Australia: Tuzucip® y Trastucip®), el primer biosimilar de trastuzumab desarrollado en China de forma independiente por Shanghai Henlius Biotech, Inc. (2696.HK), celebra el tercer aniversario de su aprobación de comercialización en la Unión Europea.

HANQUYOU está ahora indicado para el tratamiento del cáncer de mama precoz HER2-positivo y del cáncer gástrico. Se ha desarrollado de acuerdo con las directrices de la Administración Nacional de Productos Médicos (NMPA), la Agencia Europea del Medicamento (EMA) y la Administración de Alimentos y Medicamentos de Estados Unidos (FDA). El 27 de julio y el 12 de agosto de 2020, se aprobó la comercialización de HANQUYOU en la Unión Europea y China sucesivamente. Hasta la fecha, HANQUYOU es el biosimilar desarrollado en China con más aprobaciones de comercialización, abarcando 41 países y regiones con un envío global total de más de 3 millones de unidades. Además, su Solicitud de Licencia Biológica (BLA) fue aceptada por la FDA de EE.UU., lo que convierte a HANQUYOU en el primer biosimilar chino aprobado en China, la UE y EE.UU.

Henlius ha perseguido agresivamente la comercialización en el extranjero de HANQUYOU, colaborando con socios globales como Accord, Abbott, Cipla, Eurofarma, Elea, el Grupo Jacobson y KG Bio para llevar su terapéutica a los pacientes de los principales mercados biofarmacéuticos de EE.UU., Europa, así como a los mercados emergentes. Hasta la fecha, HANQUYOU (Zercepac®) se ha lanzado en unos 20 países europeos.
