Hanson Builders Hosts Check-Signing Finale Event for St. Jude Dream Home® Showplace

MAPLE GROVE, Minn., May 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hanson Builders hosted the official check-signing event for its St. Jude Dream Home® Showplace on May 6, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. At the event, Hanson Builders presented the final check for the donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®. The celebration, which occurred at the Hanson Builders office in Andover, MN, was attended by Hanson staff, trade partners, donors and representatives from St. Jude.

A Record-Setting Donation

Net proceeds from the sale of this home were given to St. Jude to support their lifesaving mission: Finding cures. Saving children.® St. Jude received approximately $1.23 million from this sale. In addition to being the first Dream Home® Showplace built in Minnesota, this is also the largest donation St. Jude has ever received from a Dream Home® Showplace.

A Rewarding Journey

Designing, building and selling Minnesota's first St. Jude Dream Home® has been a long and joyous endeavor. Hanson Builders broke ground on the home in Maple Grove's Evanswood neighborhood in November of 2024. The home was built with luxury and everyday comfort in mind, featuring 10-foot ceilings, wooden beams, a vaulted sunroom and a sport center. Marvin® Windows, Bosch®, Thermador®, James Hardie™, Shaw Floors®, Brizo® and many other partners contributed to premium finishes and lasting quality.

JD Hanson cut the ribbon on the home in August of 2025, joined by Maple Grove Mayor Mark Steffenson and other guests. Many members of the public toured the home during the 2025 Fall Parade of Homes® and the 2026 Spring Parade of Homes®.

With the home officially sold, Hanson Builders would like to thank everyone who contributed to this momentous project and St. Jude for the opportunity to partner with them in their life-changing work.
