Hargray Acquires USA Communications' Alabama Assets and Expands Southeastern Footprint
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C., April 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Hargray Communications announced today that it has closed the acquisition of the Alabama assets of USA Communications, serving Pell City, Alabama and the surrounding areas. The transaction expands Hargray's network in the southeast and positions the company to offer residential and commercial customers in the region a more robust suite of communications services.

Over the coming months, Hargray will dedicate additional financial resources to grow USA Communications' network to provide next-generation products and services to its customers, including the fastest Internet in the area, Wall to Wall Wi-Fi, crystal clear Digital TV with expanded viewing options, and phone services. Commercial customers will enjoy enhanced data, voice, and video services including Hosted Unified Communications, Metro-Ethernet, Symmetrical and Asymmetrical Internet, and customized video services.
Hargray will integrate the network and billing systems over the next few months with the goal of minimally impacting customers while making the changes necessary to significantly enhance their service experience. We will provide notice to USA Communications prior to making changes in their services. Until the transition is complete, existing USA Communications customers will continue to receive the same services and should continue to pay their bills as in the past.
