HASCO Medical Announces Approval to Acquire Certified Medical and Certified Auto of Ocala
MOBILE, Ala., Dec. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HASCO Medical, Inc. (OTCBB: HASC), www.mysouthernmed.com, www.mobilityfreedom.com, a managed healthcare provider that serves patients in Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi, announced today the acquisition of Certified Medical and Certified Auto of Ocala, Florida. The acquisition closed on November 16, 2011.
Certified Medical is a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) supplier that has been located in the Ocala, Florida market for 13 years. Certified Medical provides wheelchairs, scooters, power chairs and lift chairs. Most of the items sold are covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance. Alfredo Ollivierre, COO of Hasco stated, "This acquisition will strengthen our existing DME business while giving Hasco an entry into the State of Florida."
Certified Auto is a seller of wheelchair accessible vehicles. Both locations share the same building. At our new location we will have El Dorado as our van partner with the Amerivan series.
