Havas Promotes W. Joe DeMiero to CEO, Havas North America, Creative & Media

Expanded Remit Strengthens Senior Leadership Across Havas Creative & Havas Media in a Priority Growth Market.

NEW YORK, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Havas today announced the promotion of W. Joe DeMiero to CEO, Havas North America, Creative and Media, effective immediately. Reporting jointly to Donna Murphy, Global CEO of Havas Creative Network, and Peter Mears, Global CEO of Havas Media Network, DeMiero will provide senior leadership across both networks in North America, working with leadership to strengthen collaboration and help clients access the breadth of Havas' expertise.

As clients contend with accelerating change driven by AI, data proliferation, evolving consumer expectations, and increasingly interconnected business challenges, leaders are under growing pressure to improve competitiveness and deliver measurable business performance. Building on Havas' established Village approach and its Converged.AI operating model, DeMiero will focus on bringing together the right capabilities across creative, media, production, data and technology, customer experience, social and influencer, and public relations to address those challenges and support client growth.

DeMiero joined Havas Creative Network in May 2026 as Chief Client and Business Officer for North America. Prior to joining Havas, he served as Interim Chief Marketing Officer and subsequently Vice President of Marketing at Sam's Club, where he helped align creative, media, data, and technology investments around enterprise growth priorities. He previously spent more than two decades in senior agency leadership roles, including serving as U.S. CEO of UM and CEO of Publicis Groupe's Hawkeye, with a focus on business transformation, growth acceleration, and strategic client partnerships.
