Havas Worldwide New York Appoints Darren Moran As Chief Creative Officer

NEW YORK, Aug. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Havas Worldwide announced today the appointment of Darren Moran as Chief Creative Officer, Havas Worldwide New York and Co-Chief Creative Officer, Havas Worldwide North America, alongside Chicago's Chief Creative Officer and Co-President, Jason Peterson.

In his new role, Darren will oversee all creative work for the New York agency's clients, working closely with Phil Silvestri, Rich Roth, and Lee Garfinkel, who will continue in his role as Chairman, HWWNY, and CCO, Global Brands.

Moran joins Havas from BBDO New York, bringing with him 23 years of experience as a writer and creative director in an award-winning career spanning digital, TV, and print across nearly every client category. Moran's work has garnered top honors from Cannes, the CLIOs, D&AD, The One Show, the London International Awards, and the Webby Awards, among others.

Moran most recently served as Executive Creative Director at BBDO New York, where he worked across the agency's brand roster and on new business pitches. Prior to that, he was Chief Creative Officer at Draftfcb New York, where he led the creative resurgence on Oreo, which culminated in numerous awards, including a Cyber Grand Prix at Cannes. Previously, as Global Creative Director at Y&R, Moran created award-winning campaigns for clients including LG, Xerox, Chevron, Bacardi, Burger King, and MTV.
