NEW YORK, Aug. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Haysha Deitsch, a New York-based real estate developer, recently hosted a July event to help raise money for The Friendship Circle of Crown Heights. Members gathered together to enjoy drinks and food while benefitting a good cause.
The Friendship Circle is a non-profit organization that fosters strong relationships between local teens and Brooklyn-based special needs children. The organization encourages positive engagement with a variety of Jewish social and educational activities in order to help kids grow, stay informed, and maintain independence.
Volunteers with The Friendship Circle donate their time in order to help hundreds of special children. They make a difference by supporting the kids and having fun in a constructive environment. They also form life-long bonds with the kids they help, as well as the other teenage volunteers.
"The Bais Shmuel believes in the great non-profit work being done by Crown Heights-based organization The Friendship Circle, so we planned a fundraiser to support their efforts as much as possible. I worked with sponsor Shmuly Kopfstein to host this important event, and we were able to raise a significant amount of money for the non-profit organization. We hope our contribution will help The Friendship Circle continue their important work in the community," said Haysha Deitsch.
Established in 2001, Bais Shmuel is named after Reb Shmuel Motchkin of Blessed Memory, who embodied torah and chesed. The group encourages members and visitors to learn from one another and grow together, both personally and on a familial level, and to connect with the Almighty and the Rebbe together. Bais Shmuel offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to all Jewish individuals.
The organization is headed by the president and founder, Rabbi Moshe Pinson, who strives to include everyone in the Bais Shmuel experience. He also runs the Tzeirei Hashluchim programs for the Shluchim office.
