HAYWARD, Calif., Aug. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Hayward Aggies Youth Football plans to outfit all 120 of their football players with Guardian Caps during the 2018 season. Guardian Caps are soft shell helmet covers that reduce the force of blows to the head and other extremities.
The Aggies, along with Hayward High School, is pleased to announce that they are joining the growing ranks of high schools and youth leagues who have implemented the Guardian Cap helmet covers for football players within the organization. Marc Johnson, Chairman of the Board for the Aggies added: "As an organization we are always looking for ways to make the game safer. We believe the Guardian cap provides another layer of safety we are looking for. Not only do we believe the Guardian cap reduces impact but we also believe it instills confidence with our parents that we are doing everything in our power to make the game safer for their children."
The Aggies and Hayward HS join a long list of Guardian Cap customers in Northern California, including Pittsburg HS, San Lorenzo Valley HS, Northgate HS, Leigh HS, Mountain View HS, Harbor HS, along with Southern California perennial powerhouses Corona Centennial HS and Mater Dei HS.
"We are proud to work with the Hayward Aggies, a youth program that clearly puts player safety first, and we'd like to commend them for implementing such a multifaceted safety program," said Erin Hanson, Guardian's CEO.
