ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Santa Claus has chosen Epic PR Group as his PR Agency of Record today. From now through Christmas Day, Epic will provide an inside look at how Santa's PR team responds to PR crisis situations and opportunities at www.SantasPRWorkshop.com.
As part of the effort, Santa will donate $1, up to $10,000, toward PR services for a pro-bono nonprofit campaign for every person that "Likes" the Epic PR Group on Facebook. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to write a Letter to Santa outlining why their organization should make it to the top of Santa's Nice List for the 2010 PR Nonprofit "Presents" Campaign. Entries can be submitted online at: http://santasprworkshop.com/santas-pr-presents-campaign/.
Santa's PR Workshop is an educational initiative to demonstrate that even Father Christmas has PR problems and needs counsel to ensure his brand remains untarnished.
"Pressure to perform? Publicity Nightmares? Mr. Claus has got a sack full of problems to deal with this year," said Epic PR Group President Adele Cehrs. "So Epic is proud to represent this iconic figure and help Santa get his side of the story out and get the world excited again for his big night."
North Pole Daily, a fictional newspaper, will provide news stories from Santa's workshop and illustrations depicting Santa's mishaps. The first article is posted by renowned journalist Frasier Fir and is an investigative piece about a rumored Elf Strike.
