AUBURN, Ala., March 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Information Designs (HID) has announced the expansion of their highly-successful pharmacy data analysis suite to include a new Health Information & Intelligence Solution.
In late 2016, HID will roll out the first module in the new Health Information & Intelligence Solution—a next generation Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). HID believes prescription drug monitoring to be an imperative component of the health care industry and to reducing addiction. The new solution will help clients continue to achieve success in creating positive treatment outcomes and enhance the ability of stakeholders throughout the healthcare industry to evolve to an outcomes-based healthcare model supported by interoperability.
"Since the inception of PDMP programs, HID has been focused on integrating both patient data and evidence-based medical protocols to ensure the best care and most optimal outcomes possible for patients," says Rob DiBenedetto, Jr, Chief Executive Officer. "I'm thrilled that we continue to be able to provide opportunities for our clients to rise above their challenges and succeed."
As the healthcare industry has changed, new regulatory guidance has been given. Individual data silos for each doctor, clinic, health plan, payor or state will no longer suffice. The need for faster connections and stronger analytics that provide actionable information is real.
HID's new solution will not only meet these challenges, but also evolve the current data sharing model, from state-to-state or PDMP-user-to-PDMP-user, to disseminate essential prescribing, dispensing, and utilization management data throughout the continuum of care. More meaningful data will be possible at every point, which will allow for decreased organizational risk as well as less fraud, abuse, and waste.
"It's all about making sure the right patient gets the right drug from the right provider in the right dose at the right time. Smarter decisions make for superior outcomes," according to Mike McGinnity, Vice President of Sales. "And, these superior outcomes means a healthier community for my family and yours."
