Heeney Capital Signs Landmark Gold Mining Agreement to Develop Major Gold Project in Venezuela's El Callao District
HOUSTON, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Heeney Capital ("Heeney"), a U.S. private investment firm focused on critical minerals, strategic resources, and industrial supply chains, has signed a milestone mining concession with the Republic of Venezuela and Corporación Venezolana de Minería ("CVM") to develop and operate a major gold mining project in the El Callao Mining District of Venezuela, one of the most prolific gold belts in the Guayana Shield that hosts numerous Tier 1 gold assets. The agreement was signed at the G20 Energy Abundance Ministerial in Houston, Texas.

The deal will catalyze up to $1 billion in investment, revitalizing El Callao, and will restore economic vitality through workforce development, targeted community investments, and sustainable economic growth. The project is also expected to bring multi-billion dollars in tax and royalty revenue to the Government of Venezuela.
