Heilind Electronics Stocking 3M CFast Products

WILMINGTON, Mass., Dec. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Heilind Electronics, the largest interconnect distributor in North America, is now stocking 3M's line of CFast products, including headers, connectors and card ejectors.

CFast Storage Cards incorporate SATA serial storage architecture and performance into a package equivalent in size to CF storage cards.  CFast storage cards serve applications where high-resolution images need to be captured at faster data rates, such as medical imaging.

3M™ Headers for CFast cards are available in a low-profile configuration, or with optional 2 mm standoffs. The headers have incorporated extended guide rails that reduce the possibility of misalignment during card installation.

Headers for CFast cards also feature integrated grounding clips and SMT tails aligned in a single row for higher manufacturing yield and simplified inspection.

Heilind also offers the 3M™ Type II product line, optional push button ejectors that have a dual-push configuration. These ejectors deliver two points of force against the card and the dual-push provides more stability, reducing the chance for the card to rotate and bind during ejection.

3M™ Headers for CFast cards also have the option of a latching retainer. This accessory provides a wire latch that captures a mated card firmly, making it ideal for high vibration environments or applications where securing the card is critical.
