WILMINGTON, Mass., Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Heilind Electronics, the largest distributor of interconnect products in North America, is offering a new inventory management replenishment (IMRS) program. The updated system replaces the traditional POS scanner that communicates via modem with a tablet and Bluetooth scanner that communicates via Wi-Fi or the Internet.

Heilind's IMRS program offers numerous customer benefits including:

  • Reduced inventory, increased inventory turns
  • Reduced stock-outs and cycle time, increased inventory accuracy
  • Reduced total acquisition cost, increased cash flow
  • Reduced paper waste and keying errors, improved order accuracy

The new tablet-based system is highly customizable and easy to use and fits in well in just about any auto-replenishment, kanban, just-in-time or direct-order entry (DOE) production environment. Qualified customers are supplied a tablet, a scanner, and all necessary bar code labels or order books. The tablet and scanner arrive paired and ready to go, making implementation fast and easy.
