Heilind Now Stocking TE Connectivity's CeeLok FAS-T Connector

WILMINGTON, Mass., Sept. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Heilind Electronics, the largest distributor of interconnect products in North America, is now stocking the CeeLok FAS-T connector system from TE Connectivity. Engineered to serve the needs of the aerospace, defense and marine marketplace, this field terminable I/O connector features a 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

The CeeLok FAS-T connector  is capable of performing in the harshest of environments, including temperatures ranging from -65 degrees C to +175 degrees C, and also features crimp snap contacts for easy termination and field repairability. In addition, the CeeLok FAS-T connector meets today's need for speed and has been designed to accommodate the expected acceleration to 10 Gb/s speeds. Its size 8 shell provides size and weight savings.

Featuring a scoop-proof design, the CeeLok FAS-T connector is compatible with multiple braid terminations, adapter styles and seal boots. Its T-shaped pin pattern improves signal integrity through uniform crosstalk cancellation and the backshell is integrated in the plug body, providing a low profile, low weight strain relief and EMI protection.

Shells are available in electroless nickel or black zinc for Department of Defense approved and RoHS compliant corrosion resistance. The insert is a high temperature thermoplastic that provides temperature endurance and low dielectric constant for signal integrity.

The CeeLok FAS-T connector is available in cable-applied and printed circuit board varieties. Applications include aerospace, defense and marine environments such as ground vehicles, soldier systems, in-flight entertainment systems and avionics.
