Heiner's Insurance Car Show In Ogden Is Cruisin' for a Cause
OGDEN, Utah, Aug. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Heiner's Insurance Center is proud to host their second annual car show, Cruisin' for a Cause, the 2nd Annual Heiner's Insurance Car Show benefitting the JUST-a-BREAK Cancer Foundation. On Friday, August 4th at 5:30pm, guests of all ages are invited to come witness the spectacular parade of over 100 vintage and modern cars and motorcycles. The family-friendly event will be hosted at Kirt's Drive-in, located at 1974 N 400 E in Ogden. The party atmosphere will be kicked off by 103.1 The Wave, which will be broadcasting live throughout the event. Get ready, because the car show is just part of the fun! Also included are Polynesian dancers, local restaurants, and new this year, the chance to win drawings and a live auction for a classic convertible.
Chris Heiner, Vice President of Heiner's Insurance Center remarked, "The event is a car show, but this year we are going to have even more fun with it. We added the auction and prize drawings to really help raise funds for the JUST-a-BREAK foundation." Up for auction will be a 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible. This classic cruiser features a motor from a rebuilt 1962 vehicle, a 3-speed automatic transmission, and dark red exterior with black and red vinyl interior. The Dodge Coronet was donated by Ogden's very own Woodworks and is being restored with help from other businesses in the Ogden community.
All proceeds garnered from Cruisin' for a Cause will go towards the JUST-a-BREAK Cancer Foundation. Heiner's Insurance Center is going the extra mile by matching each five dollar car entry fee dollar-for-dollar. "At Heiner's Insurance Center, we work with a quite a few wonderful foundations, but one of the reasons we love JUST-a-BREAK is because they are a true non-profit," explains Chris Heiner. "Everything that goes to them is given directly to their recipients, and none of the administrative fees are taken out of it. They are a local foundation and we would like to do our best to bring awareness to what they do."
JUST-a-BREAK provides opportunities and getaways for families fighting cancer, giving them a well-deserved break from the harsh reality of living with cancer. Though founded in Ogden, the organization serves much of the mountain west region. Cruisin' for a Cause, the 2nd Annual Heiner's Insurance Car Show, is free for spectators, but guests can donate five dollars for the opportunity to proudly sit inside an authentic 1938 Chevy fire truck and get their photo taken. After each $100 received, the siren will sound! In addition, tickets to the drawing prizes will be sold at the event with all proceeds benefiting JUST-a-BREAK.
