Hemp in America at CWCBExpo Boston

PARAMUS, N.J., Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The health, environmental, and economic benefits of reviving the hemp industry in America will be discussed and showcased in partnership with the National Hemp Association (NHA) at the Cannabis World Congress & Business Exposition (CWCBExpo), October 17-20, at the John B. On Thursday, Oct. 18^th, Geoff Whaling, Chairman, NHA, will deliver a special session on "Hemp in America."  He will enlighten attendees on the impending passage of the Hemp Farming Act language contained within the 2018 Farm Bill and its positive impact on the farming, manufacturing, construction and research sectors of our economy.  NHA has been working closely with all relevant federal government agencies who will have oversight of this new commodity crop, including DEA, USDA, FDA and Whaling will give CWCBExpo Boston attendees an update on this federal legislation and explore the tremendous potential industrial hemp will have on the US economy.  

NHA is also presenting an exhibit floor Hemp Museum featuring historical and new hemp products including nautical rope from the 1700s, 100% sustainable hemp bags, and a BMW i3 made with the same hemp fiber now being used for sustainable auto components.  Hemp is cannabis, yet hemp is not marijuana and marijuana is not hemp - as hemp does not contain the psychoactive THC.
