750 Michigan Nurses and Case Workers Demand Safe Working Conditions
GRAND BLANC, Mich., Sept. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Nurses and case workers at Henry Ford Genesys, represented by Teamsters Local 332, will strike on Monday, September 1 at 8 a.m., to demand safe and improved working conditions.
On August 21, the group voted by a 93 percent margin to reject the employers' egregious final offer, filing a notice of their intent to strike. Since their previous contract expiration date of June 5, Local 332 worked tirelessly to negotiate and secure a fair deal, yet Henry Ford Genesys refused to come to terms on a fair agreement.
Teamsters will remain on strike until an agreement that guarantees safe nurse-to-patient ratios, fair wages and better working conditions is achieved.
