La firma de arquitectura de interiores RDAI ha diseñado para Hermès un stand contemporáneo, sofisticado y acogedor. El mobiliario ofrece una experiencia única en la que el sonido, el color y la luz propician un ambiente tranquilo. Se recibe a los visitantes en un amplio atrio con pantallas de madera de arce. Cada uno de los relojes se exhibe en un cubo de cristal. Por el stand se extienden como una segunda piel más espacios privados que permiten ofrecer explicaciones personalizadas sobre los diversos modelos de la colección. Se ha diseñado un teatro cerrado, con las gradas cubiertas con telas de Hermès, para las conferencias de prensa y las presentaciones.

En el centro del stand, una instalación del artista holandés Levi Van Veluw ofrece a los visitantes la oportunidad de compartir una emoción. Dentro de unos escaparates cuadrados de baja tecnología que evocan la forma de los famosos pañuelos de Hermès, realiza nueve animaciones interactivas. Los visitantes activan unos pocos mecanismos que, a través de una serie de pistones y engranajes, dan vida a un espectacular monolito en el centro del atrio. Una máquina de construcción que ofrece a todos una experiencia intemporal, un viaje repleto de emociones en torno al tema «El tiempo, un objeto de Hermès».

Esto es porque en Hermès, el tiempo es también un objeto. Más allá de las calidades técnicas que buscan medir, ordenar y controlar el tiempo, Hermès se atreve a explorar otro tiempo. «Queremos despertar una relación lúdica con el tiempo a través de un objeto que es fiel a su función», explica Pierre-Alexis Dumas, director artístico de Hermès. «Creamos relojes que surgen de la maestría de numerosas habilidades y reflejan una perspectiva serena sobre el tiempo».

Los relojes Carré H, Arceau Casaque y Arceau Pocket Millefiori presentados durante el SIAR conservan la tensión que habita en este objeto-tiempo.
