Hewins Financial Advisors Earns a Spot on The Inc. 5000, Achieves Highest Ranking to Date

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Aug. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Hewins Financial Advisors (Hewins) secured a spot on The Inc. 5000 — Inc. magazine's acclaimed list of the fastest-growing private American companies — for the third consecutive year. This time, the CPA-based financial advisor notched its highest ranking on the list to date, supported by an impressive three year-growth rate of 65 percent.
With the recognition, Hewins joins a distinguished group of 250 firms that have helped pioneer growth within one of the largest industries represented on the list — and their efforts have paid off. According to Inc.'s report, the financial-services sector more than doubled in size over the past year, with an aggregate growth rate of 149 percent.
This surge also comes on the heels of arguably the most groundbreaking regulation to sweep the industry in nearly 50 years: the Labor Department's fiduciary rule, which will likely transform the way many advisors do business. Hewins' Chief Strategy Officer Gretchen Halpin says the rule underscores the need for objective financial advice focused on clients' best interests, a crucial element of the firm's advisory approach and a contributor to its continued growth trajectory.

Inc. ranks companies by overall revenue growth over a three-year period. To qualify, companies must have been founded and started generating revenue by March 31, 2012. Companies up for consideration had to be based in the U.S., privately held, for-profit and independent (no subsidiaries or divisions of other companies) as of December 31, 2015, in addition to paying a submission fee.
