HFS Consultants Hires Healthcare Industry Thought Leader, Eric M. Schulz, in its Government Programs & Reimbursement Practice

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- HFS Consultants (HFS), a healthcare consulting company providing management, financial consulting, operations and strategic planning services to hospitals and healthcare facilities, announces it has hired Eric M. Schulz, as a manager in its Government Programs and Reimbursement practice area.  Mr. Schulz will focus primarily on the firm's business development activities in Oregon and Washington.

Mr. Schulz joins HFS from Apprise Health Insights where he was director of business development, responsible for growing the organization's newly established hospital performance improvement consulting unit.   At Apprise, he substantially increased net revenue in several business units and successfully established new lines of business.  In addition, he was responsible for Apprise's work with the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems, providing rural hospitals in Oregon with essential services to facilitate their transition from cost based reimbursement to prospective payment.
