Hicks Thomas Attorneys Earn Selection to 2012 Texas Super Lawyers List

HOUSTON, Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Houston trial law firm Hicks Thomas is pleased to announce that five firm attorneys have earned spots on the 2012 Texas Super Lawyers listing of the state's top legal counsel.

Firm partners Taylor M. Hicks, John B. Thomas, Stewart Hoffer and Allen H. Rustay all earned recognition for their business litigation expertise, and senior counsel J. Stephen Barrick is highlighted for his appellate practice.

This marks the 10^th consecutive year that Mr. Hicks, Mr. Thomas and Mr. Hoffer have earned the Texas Super Lawyers distinction, having been featured on the list each year since it debuted in 2003. Mr. Rustay and Mr. Barrick are highlighted for the first time, having been previously honored on the companion Texas Rising Stars listing of the state's top young attorneys.

To compile the annual guide to Texas' best lawyers, researchers with Thomson Reuters' Legal division conduct a statewide survey asking attorneys to nominate those they consider to be among the best in the legal profession. A blue-ribbon panel of lawyers assists with final selections, with less than 5 percent of all attorneys in Texas earning the Texas Super Lawyers distinction each year.
