High-Profiled Exhibition: Food ingredients (Fi) Asia 2010

JAKARTA, Indonesia, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The food ingredients industry will convene at the end of the month in Jakarta, Indonesia. Leading international ingredients suppliers will present their latest products and technical innovations to food manufacturers and retailers in South East Asia, as part of Food ingredients (Fi) Asia 2010.

Fi Asia 2010 has completely sold out. The industry's key suppliers such as Cargill, Kerry Asia Pacific, CP Kelko, Fortitech, Pharmachem, BASF Asia Pacific, Purac and Tate & Lyle will exhibit their latest product offerings together with more than 250 companies from around the world.

The exhibition is an opportunity for ingredients suppliers to introduce new and innovative ingredients; examples are CP Kelco who will introduce their Hi-pHive™, a new product that helps to stabilize and improve the mouthfeel and body of beverages; Kerry Asia Pacific who will present their EmulGold, an organic low-viscosity soluble dietary fiber with a proven satiety effect, and Fortitech who will showcase nutrient premixes for food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications.

The high interest in Indonesia stems from its stable economy and expanding middle class who drive processed food consumption. Indonesia is the region's largest consumer of food ingredients, accounts for 51% of the ASEAN region's food additives consumption. Together with abundant human and natural resources, Indonesia is an attractive country for investment.

Fi Asia will provide different educational opportunities, such as a conference organized by The Indonesian Association of Food Technologists (IAFT/PATPI) on emerging issues and technology developments, and several associations meetings where latest issues, regulations and policies will be discussed. In addition, key exhibitors will hold seminars on a wide range of educational topics, from new developments in instant bakery items, to the cost benefits of food fortification.

The show will run from 29 September to 1 October 2010 at Jakarta International Expo and is expected to attract thousand of food professionals from around the world.
