Hilco Global Appoints Chris George as Global Head of Healthcare for Professional Services

Veteran healthcare executive and advisor will lead the development and growth of the company's healthcare capabilities

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hilco Global, a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation USA, announced today that Chris George has joined the company as Executive Director, Global Head of Healthcare for Hilco Global Professional Services. In this newly established role, Mr. George will lead the development and growth of the global healthcare practice. He will collaborate across the Hilco Global platform to advise healthcare companies worldwide - both sponsor-backed and independent –  across healthcare services and technology, pharmaceutical and life sciences, health systems and academic medical centers including physician groups. The practice also partners with private equity firms, private credit providers, investment banks and other capital partners on value creation strategies for their invested assets.  

Mr. George brings more than 30 years of healthcare consulting and executive leadership experience spanning academic, community, and for-profit health systems, academic medical centers, physician enterprises, and private equity-backed healthcare companies. Throughout his career, he has partnered with C-suite executives and boards of directors to address margin pressure, improve financial and operational performance, redesign care delivery, modernize operating models, implement digital and innovation strategies, and create sustainable enterprise value.

Most recently, Mr. George served as Managing Director and Head of the Health Systems Practice at Alvarez & Marsal. He previously spent more than 11 years at FTI Consulting, where he served as a Senior Managing Director and led significant healthcare performance improvement and transformation engagements.

Mr. George has also advised private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on performance improvement, growth, operating model optimization, and post-transaction integration. Earlier in his career, he held healthcare operating and technology leadership positions at multiple academic physician organizations and founded Think First, a boutique advisory firm focused on provider enterprise transformation that was acquired by FTI Consulting.
