Hill & Knowlton Names New York GM, Ian W. Bailey

NEW YORK, May 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hill & Knowlton announced the appointment of Ian W. Bailey as Executive Vice President and General Manager of its New York office. He will report directly to Dan Bartlett, US president and CEO.  

As the head of the New York office, Ian will implement best practices for client service, business development and operations in New York, the firm's global headquarters.

Most recently Ian was managing partner and co-founder of Capital C Partners, a strategic communications consultancy, where he advised C-level clients on corporate positioning, financial, corporate and crisis communications, and investor relations in the technology, cleantech, financial services and healthcare sectors.

Prior to founding Capital C, Ian was executive vice president and managing director of US & UK financial communications and investor relations at Weber Shandwick and also led the firm's UK and New York financial services marketing activities. In his role, Ian developed and spearheaded financial and IR programs for numerous integrated accounts, working closely with the global financial services, technology and corporate issues management practices.

Ian has more than 20 years of business and communications experience and has managed multi-million dollar P&L's and integrated international accounts. In addition to his US and UK roles at Weber Shandwick, Ian has held senior management positions at Financial Dynamics and FitzGerald Communications.

Ian graduated from King's College, University of London with an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in German with management studies.
