Hiring Companies Report Unmet Accounting, Finance and IT Needs Going Into Q3 2015

CHICAGO, June 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Brilliant™, a leading search, staffing and management resources firm, released its Q3 2015 Hiring Forecast today. The data indicates that hiring companies are reporting a high percentage of unmet needs within their accounting, finance and IT functions moving into Q3.

The Brilliant Q3 2015 Accounting, Finance and IT Hiring Forecast, produced with Dr. Richard Curtin, Director, Surveys of Consumers at the University of Michigan, examined data collected from hundreds of human resources professionals and hiring decision makers between April 23, 2015 and May 8, 2015.

Although slightly down from last quarter, the number of companies reporting plans to hire full-time, permanent accounting, finance and IT professionals in Q3 2015 is still significantly up from two quarters ago for both permanent and temporary positions.

Dr. Curtin explains, "36 percent of survey respondents (down from 39 percent) reported they plan to fill full-time, permanent accounting / finance positions and nearly 40 percent (down from 58 percent) plan to fill full-time, permanent IT positions. In fact, 12 percent of firms have needs for more than 10 IT positions. This represents a significant source of unmet demands for IT teams."

15 percent of companies reported plans to hire additional temporary accounting / finance professionals and 16 percent reported plans to hire additional temporary professionals for IT.
