His Royal Highness, The Duke of York, KG, Officially Opens Harris Corporation's EMEA Headquarters

WINNERSH, United Kingdom, Dec. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- His Royal Highness, The Duke of York, KG, in his official capacity as UK Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, today joined Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) Chairman and CEO Howard Lance to officially open the company's headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and  Africa (EMEA).  The ceremony, which included a tour of the new facilities and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, took place in front of local dignitaries, senior defence and MOD personnel, senior broadcast media personnel, key partners and customers, as well as more than 200 Harris employees.

The official opening of the EMEA Headquarters at Winnersh firmly establishes a European base for Harris Corporation, one of the UK's most successful communications and information technology companies.  The company's RF Communications, Government Communications Systems, Broadcast Communications, and IT Services businesses will be represented and operate out of the facility.  In addition to office and meeting space, the 73,250 square foot state-of-the-art building includes a dedicated Customer Briefing Centre that features displays and demonstrations of the company's key products, technology and solutions.
