Hispanic TV's favorite couple, Charytin Goyco & Felipe Viel are back on prime time with "Charytin & Felipe El Show" starting today Monday, September 16 at 9pm(ET)/8pm(CT) on MegaTV

MIAMI, Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Starting today, Monday, September 16, TV viewers can enjoy the prime time premiere of "Charytin & Felipe El Show" on MegaTV at 9pm (ET) / 8 pm (CT).  Hispanics in the United States and Puerto Rico are going to enjoy big time the number 1 dynamic duo of our time in an exciting, hilarious program bursting with segments of sheer fun, information and entertainment.  The program will also feature the presence of various stars and special guests, including the grand return of Felipe Viel as co-host with "America's Blonde," Charytin Goyco.

In this first week of the new season, "Charytin & Felipe El Show" will be featuring major stars. "Charytin & Felipe El Show" is being renewed with the changes presented when the network received Felipe Viel.  From Monday to Friday at 9 p.m. (ET) - 8 p.m. (CT) the favorite couple of Hispanics in the United States, Felipe Viel & Charytin Goyco together will be offering the viewers something funny and surprising, in a program that is sure to get everyone laughing and in high spirits.  Along with Felipe & Charytin, there will be changes in the cast of actors, singers and musicians that will delight the viewing audience.  

The program will have a young team of reporters and staff, who will bring us the most entertaining features coverage. The show also has an excellent live band that will enliven and complement what's going on in the program. The audience will be an essential component of the show, since they will be able to interact with the hosts from home through Smartphones and social media.

About Felipe Viel:

Felipe Viel has had an extensive media career – first in his native Chile, and later in the United States, where he hosted the entertainment show in Telefutura "Escandalo TV" and "Escandalo Extra."

Felipe's profound altruism has led him to help children who became homeless orphans after the Haiti earthquake, and he has traveled to serve as an active volunteer in the reconstruction of the disaster zone.

About Charytin Goyco:

There aren't that many celebrities known only by their first names, at least not in the world of Hispanic entertainment.  But Charytin, nicknamed "America's Ruby," is one of the Latina women who has managed to achieve it. Charytin is a Dominican singer, television hostess and actress.  She moved to Puerto Rico in the 1970's, where she met her future husband, TV producer and actor, Elin Ortiz. During the '70's, she started a weekly TV show on WAPA-TV, which aired on Sunday evenings until 1985. Charytin became an international star with her song Mosquita muerta ['Dead Mosquita'] (which was the name of a character she played on her show). The song became a hit in Mexico, Venezuela and Peru.

In 1983, Charytin acted in the movie Verano en Nueva York ['Summer in New York'] with Mexican actor Julio Aleman. Two of the songs from the soundtrack became hits, Tu vida es un suspenso hasta el final ['Your life is a thriller until the end'], and Para llegar ['Getting there']. In 1985 she released the record Verdades Desnudas ['Naked Truths'], which was produced by Spanish singer, composer and producer Camilo Sesto. In 1986, she and Chacon acted together with Dominican-Mexican actor Andres Garcia and Yolandita Monge in a soap opera entitled Escandalo ['Scandal'].

Since 2002, Charytin has hosted, Escandalo TV together with Marisa del Portillo, Felipe Viel and Lilia Luciano, for Telefutura. In 2006 she directed a TV entertainment program for Univision.  In 2007, the Asociacion de Criticos de Arte de la Republica Dominicana [Art Critics Association of the Dominican Republic] recognized her work with a lifetime achievement award. During her career, Charytin has hosted a number of TV series from Japan, England, Italy, Argentina and other countries. In the U.S. and Puerto Rico her programs have won 12 ACE statuettes.

In May of 2012, Charytin was chosen together with Ricky Martin and Zoe Saldana for the cover of the prestigious magazine, People en Espanol, among the "50 most beautiful people."
