Themed "Bridging Cultures, Advancing Health Together," the event brought together leading pharmaceutical companies from around the world for an evening of networking and cultural exchange. The event took inspiration from Taizhou's distinctive frameless lanterns and featured a lantern-lighting ceremony inspired by the city's natural landscapes, cultural experiences showcasing its traditional arts and crafts, and displays of local specialties. These activities offered international guests a glimpse into Taizhou's rich cultural heritage and the vitality of its pharmaceutical industry, which has earned the city recognition as the "Pharmaceutical Capital of China." The event also helped raise the international profile of both Taizhou and Hisun Pharmaceutical.
Founded in 1956 in Taizhou, Hisun Pharmaceutical was a pioneer in bringing Chinese pharmaceuticals to international markets. In 1992, its tobramycin received U.S. FDA approval. As one of the earliest Chinese companies to export active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), Hisun began its commercial expansion in established markets, including the U.S. and Europe.
