HiTouch Business Services Acquires MyOfficeProducts, Creating Largest National Independent Business Services Company in the U.S.
Strategic acquisition establishes nationwide platform for expanded service and continued growth
SADDLE BROOK, N.J., Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- HiTouch Business Services, LLC (HiTouch) announced today it has completed its acquisition of MyOfficeProducts, creating the largest national independent business services company in the U.S. With a sales office presence now in 25 states and 54 markets, and with a team of more than 500 employees, HiTouch continues to execute its strategy to redefine the industry by offering a new level of consultative and integrated business services, including office supplies, contract furniture, document shredding, promotional products, janitorial products, managed print services, sustainable move solutions, forms and print management, coffee/breakroom refreshments and commercial moving crates and equipment.
"From the outset of our discussions, we saw immediately that HiTouch and MyOfficeProducts shared not only a common mission and values, but our service offerings and geographic reach complemented our respective focus on customer service and growth," said Howard Brown, Chairman of HiTouch. "As operating companies within HiTouch Business Services, the combined offerings of MyOfficeProducts, Rentacrate and ShredX allow us to truly stand apart with the most uniquely comprehensive business services solutions available today in the market. We are very well positioned for continued growth," Brown added.
"We are thrilled to be part of such an innovative and experienced team. With our combined talent, resources, experience and reach, we offer a whole new level of service by delivering unparalleled solutions to businesses that demand value," said John Frisk, President of MyOfficeProducts. Frisk added, "Whether they include day-to-day office supplies, secure document management, office moves or facilities management, our new company can offer customers an immediate return, making businesses more profitable and efficient."
HiTouch was launched in May, 2010 by industry veterans Howard Brown and Michael Brown with a national network of distribution facilities, regional sales offices and a team of seasoned consultants and sales professionals.
MyOfficeProducts, based in Brentwood, Tennessee, was founded in February, 2002 by John Burch, John Frisk, Matthew King and Butch Johnson. Within just a few years, the company became the largest national independent office products company in the U.S. with more than 300 employees serving over 44 markets across 16 states, leveraging a warehouse distribution network of 40 facilities and offering a full spectrum of office supplies.
All employees will retain their current positions at each of the company's locations, with more to be added in the near future. MyOfficeProducts is planning to increase its national sales force and its current staff in the company's Brentwood headquarters.
"This is an important step in our plan to grow HiTouch, and with our new platform, we are well positioned to continue our growth through acquisitions and cross selling. We will continue to execute our long-term strategy of becoming a multi-billion dollar global business services company with the capability to serve customers of any size, in any industry," said Michael Brown, Chief Executive Officer of HiTouch. "With the addition of John Frisk and his team of experienced professionals, our customers will continue to benefit from our commitment to service and value. Leveraging MyOfficeProducts' strong brand presence, John will be able to make great inroads into the Northeast and other important markets," he added.
As Chairman of HiTouch, Howard Brown will continue his oversight and management of all corporate activities and growth initiatives. Michael Brown will serve as Chief Executive Officer of HiTouch and will oversee MyOfficeProducts, Rentacrate and ShredX operations. As a HiTouch company, MyOfficeProducts' leadership team in Tennessee will include:
- John Frisk will serve as President and will oversee all growth and sales
