Hobsons and UPCEA Partner to Advance Non-Traditional Student Success
Joint research on adult learners' labor market outcomes to improve professional, continuing, and online education
WASHINGTON and CINCINNATI, Oct. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Recognizing that education does not end with high school or college, Hobsons will partner with the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA) to study and improve non-traditional student success. As a UPCEA Industry Partner, Hobsons and the Association's Center for Research and Consulting will examine UPCEA members' labor market outcomes, which will serve as a benchmark study for future measurement. Hobsons clients and UPCEA members will be able to access the completed study in a free webinar offered in 2013.
"Coupled with first rate services and support, Hobsons' high quality education software allows students to personalize their learning experience," explained UPCEA CEO Bob Hansen. "This individualized, student-oriented approach complements our own mission to advance leadership in the adult education sphere."
"The value of continuing education extends beyond the students pursuing degrees - the entire community benefits from ongoing learning," said Todd Gibby, Hobsons' President of Higher Education. "For this reason, we are proud to expand upon our relationship with UPCEA in support of professional, continuing, and online students everywhere. This partnership deepens Hobsons' ability to maximize student success and institutional effectiveness among adult learners."
In addition to the partnership, Gibby will serve on the UPCEA Corporate Advisory Council, which supports the Association's commitment to fostering meaningful interaction among all members of the professional, continuing, and online education community.
