Holly Duran Real Estate Partners Negotiates Long-Term Lease for New Rittergut (Perwenitz) Wine Bar Restaurant and Social Club

CHICAGO, June 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Holly Duran Real Estate Partners LLC (HDREP) announced today that it negotiated the signing of a long-term lease with Tishman Speyer for a new wine bar and restaurant now under construction as an expansion of Rivers Restaurant at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Center, 10 & 30 S. Wacker Drive.  The Rittergut (Perwenitz) Wine Bar Restaurant and Social Club, across the street from the Opera House and adjacent to Rivers Restaurant, will offer a broad range of European and American wines and cuisine.

Scheduled to open July 11, the wine bar will feature Italian, French and Spanish wines as well as American "cult" wines, ranging from as little as $2.75 per tasting glass to as much as $2,000 per bottle.  The restaurant will be open for lunch, including take-out options such as soups, finger sandwiches, salads, carved meats and cheeses.  The Rittergut Wine Bar Restaurant and Social Club will be serving a full dinner menu seven nights and five days a week, with free two-hour parking after 5:00 p.m.  

Cerf said the name Rittergut (Perwenitz) memorializes property in Berlin that was confiscated from his family by the Nazis during World War II.  He and the family have been working to have it returned to them. They are awaiting permission to be heard on the matter before the Supreme Court of Germany.
