A Space Filled with Light and Sacred Art
The Open-Air Mausoleum of the Holy Spirit lets natural light pour in through elegant glass skylights, connecting heaven and earth in a tranquil setting for prayer and remembrance. It offers cremation niches with affordable pre-planning options.
At its heart are nine mosaics created by internationally renowned artists Alexander and Daniela Mandradjiev of Alexander Studio. Each depicts a symbol of the Holy Spirit: the Dove, Fire, Light, Water, Wind, the Lamp, Hands, Clouds and Oil, crafted from thousands of Venetian glass tesserae, precious stones and 24-karat gold leaf.
"Each mosaic is more than an image: it is a prayer in color and light," said Alexander Mandradjiev.

"Holy Cross has been a place of faith and remembrance for generations, and these new spaces continue that mission with beauty worthy of the people we honor," said Joseph Heckel, Executive Director of Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Newark.
