SEATTLE, March 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- HomeAid America, a national non-profit provider of housing for homeless families and individuals for more than 25 years, has re-established HomeAid in the Seattle-Tacoma area with the creation of HomeAid Puget Sound (HAPS). HomeAid was previously a program of the Master Builder Care Foundation, which terminated operations in 2014.

Since first commencing operations in Seattle in 2001 HomeAid has built 14 major housing projects in the region and completed 60 renovations valued at more than $24 million and creating 63,000 bed-nights that serve the area's homeless annually. Local Charities such as Vision House, Attain Housing (formerly Kirkland Interfaith Transitions in Housing), Housing Hope, Cocoon House, Friends of Youth, Compassion House and Hopelink have benefited from HomeAid. With the creation of the new HAPS chapter, this legacy of community giving will now be built upon and escalated, helping numerous service providers in Puget Sound that help the local homeless population.
