Homeland Security Officer Reveals Hidden Identity as Viral Hip-Hop Artist in Explosive New Documentary

Phabian "S-Quire" Winfield's story of resilience, faith, and controversy comes to life in The Making of a Moment, premiering October 29 in New York City

NEW YORK, Sept. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In March 2025, a music video titled "Doin That" went viral after off-duty NYPD detective Melissa Mercado appeared moonlighting as a stripper. The three-minute clip, released on WorldStarHipHop, ignited coverage from TMZ, The New York Post, Hot 97, and Complex, sparking national debate over whether an officer's private life could cross professional lines.

What the public never knew is that the artist at the center of that same video—Phabian "S-Quire" Winfield—was also serving as a federal officer for Homeland Security. That revelation now drives The Making of a Moment, a groundbreaking new documentary narrated by WBLS icon Lenny Green, premiering October 29, 2025, at the SVA Theatre in Manhattan.

The film traces S-Quire's journey from Hempstead, New York, through years of setbacks, resilience, and spiritual battles, to the viral spotlight that forced a reckoning. It explores identity, faith, and the cost of living two lives—one as a federal officer, the other as an artist unwilling to quit.

"This film isn't about hype—it's about truth," says Winfield. "I stayed silent while the internet judged me, but now the full story comes out."
