HomeUnion Names Jaime Sipila as Senior Director of Product Management

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- HomeUnion, an online real estate investment management firm specializing in single-family rental (SFR) investment properties for the individual investor, announced today that Jaime Sipila, a seasoned data-driven product manager, has joined the company as senior director of product management.

In this new position, Sipila will lead and own HomeUnion's overall product vision. He will direct cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, marketing, and support to realize business goals. His other responsibilities will include setting product strategy, identifying new opportunities, monitoring industry trends and ensuring that HomeUnion maintains its leadership position in the market.

Sipila brings to HomeUnion more than 14 years of senior-level experience in product management and development in both the online real estate rental and the cloud-based business process management markets. Prior to joining HomeUnion, Sipila led the renter experience product team at Rent.com, a rental listing website that serves millions of users each month, which was formerly an eBay company and was acquired by RentPath in 2012. Previously, he was the founder of Interneer Inc., a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider of a human-centric Business Process Management (BPM) platform. Sipila began his career at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center as a controls engineer for the Dynamics & Controls Group.

Mr. Sipila graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan with a B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering. He also holds graduate engineering degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Strategy from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
