Company Is Counting Down to Purchase of 50,000th Home, and Welcoming Near Record Number of New Franchisees

DALLAS, Dec. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Despite a stagnant real estate market, HomeVestors® of America is celebrating a highly successful 2011, with two key milestones spotlighted at its annual national convention this week in Dallas. 

Co-presidents David Hicks and Ken Channell announced that the company, the number one buyer of houses in the U.S., has reached 49,995 homes purchased across the country, and the countdown toward the 50,000th home purchase has begun. This purchase is expected to this week. Additionally, 2011 represents a robust surge in the number of new company franchisees, adding over 50 new franchises in the past 11 months.
