HoneyBaked partners with National Breast Cancer Foundation

ATLANTA, Sept. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Known for the world's best ham, HoneyBaked Ham will replace its iconic gold foil with pink for the first time ever this October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Customers are invited to help "foil" breast cancer by assisting HoneyBaked in its support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) in its mission to provide free mammograms and diagnostic breast cancer services to underserved women.

"Everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by breast cancer," said HoneyBaked* COO Maggie DeCan. "They are our mothers, sisters, daughters, co-workers and customers. During the month of October, one dollar from each limited edition pink foil-wrapped ham sold at participating HoneyBaked locations across the country will benefit the NBCF. In addition, customers can participate in "Friends Foiling Breast Cancer Fridays" at HoneyBaked locations. Customers that wear pink and bring a friend for lunch on Fridays in October will receive buy one, get one free sandwiches. All month long, customers will have the option to add a donation of one dollar or more to their purchase, directly benefiting the NBCF.

Fans of HoneyBaked's Facebook page will also have the opportunity to nominate friends and loved ones who have been touched by breast cancer to receive a free family meal from HoneyBaked. One hundred families will be selected throughout the month of October.
