Hormel Foods Announces Appointment of Ash Bhumbla as Chief Financial Officer

AUSTIN, Minn., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE: HRL), a Fortune 500 global branded food company, today announced the appointment of Ash Bhumbla as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Sept. 8. Paul Kuehneman, who has served as interim chief financial officer since October 2025, will work closely with Bhumbla to ensure a smooth transition and remain a key senior leader within the company's finance organization.

Bhumbla will lead the company's finance organization and serve as a member of the Hormel Foods senior leadership team. He will guide the company's financial strategy, capital allocation and long-term growth objectives.

Bhumbla is an experienced finance leader with a track record of helping food companies improve performance, strengthen financial operations and execute long-term growth strategies. Bhumbla joins Hormel Foods from Tyson Foods, where he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for the company's Chicken segment. In 2025 he concurrently served as chief financial officer of Tyson's International segment. Kuehneman joined Hormel Foods in 1993 and has held various accountant and controller roles at the company's Austin, Minnesota, and Rochelle, Illinois, food manufacturing facilities as well as the company's headquarters, also in Austin. In 2009, he became the director of internal audit at Hormel Foods and in 2016 was promoted to the position of vice president and chief financial officer for Jennie-O Turkey Store in Willmar, Minnesota. He was named assistant controller in November 2020 and controller in January 2022. Kuehneman earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Northwest Missouri State University and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
