LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, Citrus College Stadium played host to one of the more exciting international soccer matches in recent memory when legendary Armenian club FC Ararat Yerevan battled the New York Cosmos in front of a crowd of thousands of supporters. On hand for the matchup was Johno Kabbendjian, host of the top Armenian podcast online, ArmeniaProud.com. As the teams entered the field, Kabbendjian's voice could be heard booming through the public address system announcing each player's name. "It was a truly incredible event. The storied heritage that both of these teams share with the Armenian community cannot be overstated", said Kabbendjian. As time expired on the match, the Cosmos proved victorious, defeating Ararat 2-0.
Kabbendjian's weekly podcast focuses on highlighting people, places and issues that are important to Armenians, both in the U.S. and internationally.
