Hot or Not Launches New Application Features

NEW YORK, June 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Hot or Not, the pioneer of rating and the game that lets you check out and connect with the hottest people nearby, is excited to announce the release of a redesigned app, with new feature, the "Hot Lists."

Using a unique, innovative algorithm, Hot or Not can calculate how hot someone is based on user votes and use this information to show you lists of the hottest people nearby, wherever you may be: at a music festival, on college campus, or hanging out in the city.

With billions of votes cast by users, Hot or Not can show:

• Hot Lists in an area which update in real-time and let users see the hottest people around them, wherever they are. Whether they're visiting popular neighborhoods or places, a college campus or even a music festival like Coachella or sporting event like the World Series.
• Customized Hot Lists identify how hot a certain celebrity is at a given moment, and if that varies according to different events, regions and countries. Within the app users can vote on occasional celebrity profiles and decide which celebrities are Hot…or Not.  Hot or Not will then publish Hot Lists throughout the year, showing the rise and fall of celebrities as a result of events like the Oscars, the World Cup, music awards or even the Olympics.  

Hot or Not, which currently has more than 10 million mobile users in the United States, allows users to connect through Facebook, addictively rate users Hot or Not and even chat with those who have rated them hot too. The updated sleek app will include the powerful new Hot Lists feature, and many other updates such as a new-look user profile and popularity score.
