Hot Studio Helps United Religions Initiative Foster Peace Through Interfaith Work
SAN FRANCISCO, July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Hot Studio, a people-centered experience design company, partnered with United Religions Initiative (URI) on redesigning the international organization's website (www.uri.org), which is now live.
URI, which was founded in 2000, is committed to ending religiously motivated violence around the world through interfaith cooperation. It accomplishes its mission through Cooperation Circles -- local or virtual groups located in more than 65 countries and comprising people from more than 100 faiths and traditions. The Cooperation Circles exchange reports with each other on how they are deepening interfaith respect and creating cultures of peace in their communities, thus encouraging further activism on this front.
"At Hot, we enjoy partnering with Fortune-500 businesses, and are thrilled about helping shape the experience design around emerging, exciting devices like the iPad," said Hot Studio CEO and Founder Maria Giudice. "But we equally love working with organizations such as URI whose work enriches our world in unbelievably meaningful ways."
Hot Studio helped URI create effective online tools that would allow Cooperation Circles to easily share their stories with each other and site visitors, and collaborated with URI on better communicating the organization's wide reach and tremendous global impact in fostering peace on a grass-roots level.
Mark Mancao, Manager of Special Projects and Online Communications at URI, comments: "We did a thorough search for the right team to redesign URI.org. Hot Studio clearly stood out from among the rest. We needed solid user experience and design expertise for a complex community with diverse needs. That's exactly what we got... plus top-notch project management and a great partnership."
