Houston Lawyer Jonathan Wilkerson of The Lanier Law Firm Selected to Texas Rising Stars

HOUSTON, May 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorney Jonathan Wilkerson of The Lanier Law Firm has been selected to the 2017 Texas Rising Stars listing of the state's top young lawyers based on his work representing business interests in a variety of commercial disputes.

With a commercial litigation practice that is national in scope, Mr. Wilkerson has represented clients in litigation involving contract, real estate, intellectual property, false advertising, and energy disputes. He also assists a wide spectrum of clients and companies in governmental investigations and in due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Wilkerson recently sat as second chair in a $1.5 billion false advertising federal lawsuit that has implications for the food industry and American consumers. He was also part of the litigation team that secured a multimillion-dollar settlement for an oil and gas operator in a contractual dispute.

Mr. Wilkerson is a 2009 graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Law, earning his law degree with high honors. During law school, he was a judicial intern for U.S. District Judge Robert A. Junell of the Western District of Texas. After graduation, Mr. Wilkerson served as a law clerk to Judge Fortunato P. Benavides of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.
